Easy Sunday Club was founded by Cathy Zhang, a corporate dropout turned self taught watercolor artist, and a mom of two. She started her creative journey spontaneously in her early thirties out of her discontentment with a creatively stifling corporate career and her longing for a creative outlet and more autonomy in her career. She picked up a paintbrush for the first time in over a decade and painted in watercolor everyday after work and on weekends. Easy Sunday Club was born gradually and lovingly out of her dining table aka makeshift painting table. To appreciate watercolor is to truly embrace its unpredictable nature. Rather than seeing watercolor as an element to be controlled, Cathy appreciates its organic movement and sees it as a unique strength that makes painting in watercolor truly intoxicating. This way of creating is also a welcome departure from her previous career in analytics. Easy Sunday Club represents nature and wildlife inspired art in an organic and expressive style. The current collection consists of modern wall art, cheeky greeting cards, and thoughtfully designed baby good in small batches. We believe beautiful art should be accessible to people of all ages - yes even babies.
