A Tradition Since 1904: Avery’s Beverages has been crafting small-batch soda in New Britain, Connecticut since 1904, when Sherman F. Avery began bottling soda in a red barn on Corbin Avenue. Known for classics like Cream Soda, Birch Beer, and Root Beer, Avery’s quickly became a local favorite—once delivered by horse-drawn wagon. Still Made the Old-Fashioned Way: Over a century later, we’re still committed to quality and tradition. Our sodas are handcrafted in small batches using real cane sugar and high-quality ingredients, always bottled in glass for that crisp, classic taste. A New Chapter: In 2025, Connecticut native Patrick Moore acquired Avery’s with a vision to preserve and grow the brand. As owner of Hilltop Apiaries, he introduced our honey-infused soda line, made with locally sourced wildflower honey. Rooted in Community: We proudly partner with New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario “Pop” Douglas on a custom Strawberry Cream Soda, with a portion of proceeds supporting Covenant Preparatory Schools in Hartford and Bridgeport.
