About Out of the Blue Granola

At Out of the Blue, we do more than craft delicious, homemade, and healthy snacks—we create opportunities for women to rebuild their lives. Our mission is to transform families across Middle Tennessee by supporting women recovering from addiction and abuse, offering them a path to healing and independence. Every woman behind our Out of the Blue products is either a resident or graduate of Blue Monarch, a long-term, faith-based therapeutic community dedicated to breaking cycles of adversity and restoring families. As they carefully hand-turn our granola six times to perfect its rich flavor and signature crunch, they’re also shaping a future filled with purpose and hope. We call it “Granola with a Purpose” because it’s more than just a snack—it’s a powerful vehicle for change. Here’s how it helps: - Job training & employment: It provides flexible work opportunities for women at a time when securing a job is particularly challenging. - A fresh start: Out of the Blue Granola offers a chance to build a positive work history, even in the face of past legal struggles. - Building confidence & independence: Many of these women have faced barriers to stable employment. This work allows them to gain self-respect and self-sufficiency—often for the first time. - Giving back: As they begin to earn an income, they contribute a portion back to Blue Monarch, paying forward the support that helped them.
