About Modern Herbal

Founded by New Hampshire herbalist, Kim Kaufman, Modern Herbal offers herbal provisions created in small batches in Southwest New Hampshire. It’s my vision to empower people in my local community and beyond to look deeper into natural, organic products created with the gifts given to us by Mother Nature. Modern Herbal is a small woman owned business dedicated to support other artisans throughout the US as the shop expands. When I was pregnant with my first child, I began to question the ingredients found in commercial baby care products. Determined not to allow harsh, toxic chemicals known to disrupt the endocrine system, irritate the respiratory system, etc…, I took a deep dive into learning how to create nourishing, organic products that are gentle and effective. This new realization led to a complete overhaul of the lifestyle my husband and I were living, including everything from what we put in our bodies, what we stored our food in, to what we put on our bodies. After going through severe respiratory illnesses with our first child, and having allopathic doctors fail us, I began to research wholistic care for my family and am so grateful I did because redirected me to this incredible journey of healing that I want to share with others. The products sold by Modern Herbal are created with intention, to nourish the body inside and out using the highest quality ingredients gifted to us from the ultimate healer, Mother Earth.
