About Brag Swag

Hi there - thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about me! Ever since I could hold a crayon, I knew that my path in life would involve art. Nothing lights me up or gets me completely absorbed like the process of creating! I spent 18 years as a public school art teacher (middle and high school - good stuff!) and started Brag Swag in 2012 while I was still teaching, with the belief that everyone has something to be proud of. I made the leap from teaching in 2017 to grow Brag Swag full-time. I still can't believe I get to wake up every day and design for a living! It's extremely gratifying to see folks wearing graphics that I created, and to see their enthusiasm for showing off who they are and what they're proud of with Brag Swag. Many of my graphics are completely hand drawn, which is something I'm proud of! It's something you don't see as often and folks have come to recognize our style. I say our because my husband Sean is my number one cheerleader and supporter, and quite involved in all things Brag Swag when he's not doing his own job! We're definitely a team and much of his influence and work is represented in the Brag Swag collections. We have a love for all things local - both to our Pittsburgh area roots and our adopted home in Virginia - and this is reflected in many of Brag Swag's designs. We believe in community, being a positive force in this world we share, and using Brag Swag as a way to spread good vibes everywhere we can :) Read their story
