About Umami Salt

Hi! My name is Andy. I'm a cook and the sole owner/ founder of Umami Salt. I grew up growing shiitake mushrooms outdoors on oak logs with my dad. When there would be an excess flush from the rainy season, we would sun-dry them with sea salt and use that salt on everything. I've since become a chef and use it in many dishes as my secret ingredient. Now I decided to share it with you and everyone else in hopes it becomes your new secret ingredient too!Read their story
