About Umami Salt
Hi! My name is Andy. I'm a cook and the sole owner/ founder of Umami Salt. I grew up growing shiitake mushrooms outdoors on oak logs with my dad. When there would be an excess flush from the rainy season, we would sun-dry them with sea salt and use that salt on everything. I've since become a chef and use it in many dishes as my secret ingredient. Now I decided to share it with you and everyone else in hopes it becomes your new secret ingredient too!

The combination of black garlic, shiitake mushrooms, and sea salt is truly unique. The original Umami Salt appeals to our customers that want the Umami but not black garlic. We cook with both at home.
