About Penrose Candles

Penrose Candles is a modern home fragrance and design company based in Portland, Oregon. We handcraft timeless, gender-neutral products with fragrances inspired by nature, memories, and imaginary places. EST. 2012 Penrose Candles was established by Amy Voldengen, a graphic designer who began making candles as a hobby in her Portland, Oregon kitchen. In 2016, Amy's husband, Joe Condon, joined Penrose, and together they introducing the signature white ceramic with a walnut lid. Later that year, they both quit their day jobs. All Penrose products are hand-poured in the historic St. Johns neighborhood and are sold in over 100 independent shops worldwide. Read their story
