About Free Your Hair Brush

I created the FYH Brush because I have seen the ritual of Hair Brushing transform peoples lives. For years behind the chair, I advised every client regardless of their hair texture to wean slowly off of frequent hair washing and work in a weekly brush session with a mixed-bristle brush instead. I encouraged them to make it a ritual, and had the pleasure of watching their scalp health and relationship to their hair completely TRANSFORM with this simple tool. The hairstylist in me designed the FREE YOUR HAIR BRUSH to help educate and empower people to protect and care for their hair in a self-honoring and pleasurable way that doesn't create more waste and damage to their bodies and the planet. The mother in me created the FYH Brush as a tool for families and communities to connect through the simple and loving act of brushing each others hair.
