Hi I am Breanne, maker of all the knotted B hair accessories. Growing up I always enjoyed sewing, crafting and photography. I remember my Nana always asking my sister and I what we would like to do while there and my sister would always say, “Go Shopping” and I would always say, “Make crafts”. While on maternity leave from my career as an accountant, I started the knotted B as a creative outlet, while taking care of my sweet baby girl Odessa. Starting this online business allowed me to use my creative side, and do the things I always enjoyed growing up. Inspired by 1950’s trends, and a need to cover my post partum baby hairs (Mamas you know), I set out to add my own spin on the classic knotted headband. Channeling my inner Gossip Girl’s, Blair Waldorf, and fueled by coffee, I searched for chic and unique fabrics from both domestic and international designers. These headbands are carefully handcrafted on Vancouver Island, down to the colour of the thread used to make them. They add a fun touch to any outfit and can be worn casually with a solid tee, or dressed up with your favourite girls night out ensemble.
