We are Melissa and Dave Dilmaghani, the wife and husband creators and curators of Old New House, your premiere online source for vintage and antique rugs, with a small batch approach and large scale selection. Dave is a 5th generation rug seller with his family’s history in designing, manufacturing, and importing Oriental Rugs dating back to the mid 1800s and just like his ancestors before him, quality and craftsmanship is of the utmost importance. He also takes great pride in dating, describing, and doting on each and every rug that is sold because each one has its own unique story that deserves to be told and known. Melissa’s background is in photography and interior design. Even after 5 years of being in business and thousands of rugs online, Melissa is still the one and only photographing and editing every single rug and item that goes live. Though a hand-knotted carpet novice when she met Dave in 2009, she quickly developed the same passion for them as pieces of art for the home that Dave has had his entire life, soaking up all of the history and knowledge that comes with vintage and antique rugs.Read their story
