About SmithHönig

SmithHönig designs original patterns and products to help your clients create homes that are the boldest, brightest expression of themselves. We're Kellie Smith and Melanie Hönig. We started SmithHönig when we couldn't find the colors and patterns we wanted for our own design projects. We began producing products in small, made-to-order batches. First for ourselves, and then for others. That lead to a showroom in Atlanta's Americas Mart, window displays in Gump's, San Francisco, and mentions in everything from Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle, to HGTV Magazine, to House Beautiful and The Today Show. Our products are still designed, printed, hand-sewn, or crafted in small batches, always as close to our own studio as possible. Our fabric is printed in South Carolina. Our wallpaper is printed in Tennessee. Our pillows are hand sewn, often by our own team of talented seamstresses, or in Quebec, for our largest orders. SmithHönig's celebratory mix of color, culture, and pattern starts with our own artwork and is inspired by decades of unique travel experiences, often in private homes across the globe. As designers, we understand the challenges of the industry and offer a robust trade program as a result. We can create custom pieces as well. Just ask.
