About AVMS Art

I'm a watercolour illustrator specialising in artistic, detailed and accurate maps of the UK. My county maps feature a handwritten map of every village, town and city. My national park maps include every village, town and natural landmark. And my country maps are written entirely in the language of that nation, harnessing the spirit of a place rather than a straightforward geographically designed map. I've spent years developing this craft, working with heritage estates and private clients to create bespoke pieces that are as much about storytelling as they are about geography. In 2023, my work was recognised with the Gift of the Year award, winning the Design and Craft category and in 2024 I was named Young National Trader of the year. Both huge moments for a small, independent studio built from scratch. Every piece is painted by hand, no two are ever quite the same and each one is designed to be treasured for years.
