Louisa Guild Jewelry is the hand-sculpted brand by Designer, Louisa Colmore Hurst. Louisa grew up on a farm in the North Georgia Mountains with her brothers and sisters where her love of nature and its bounty began. Time was spent out-of-doors with family where creativity was encouraged and necessary. Louisa earned a degree in Interior Design. She spent years in the interior design field working with commercial and residential clients. Led by her sister and her mother, Louisa began sculpting. She harnesses her life experiences, natural resources, and her idea of lasting beauty to produce pieces that can be worn tirelessly and that have a confident soulful vibe. Pieces are hand sculpted and cast using the Lost Wax method. Designs are cast in a solid jewelers brass. Chains, ear wires and ALL findings are 14/20 gold filled. Gemstones are precious or semi precious. Natural elements used include, teeth fossils, antlers, porcupine quills and whatever else comes to mind during the creative process. Polish with polishing cloth to maintain a shiny gold. Or let the brass patina. Either way the wearer has years of wear to treasure. Read their story
