We take old records and give them a new life and positive vibrations when someone draws, writes, creates, or simply interacts with them every day. We believe music is meant to connect people, build community, and inspire creativity long after the last song has played. Cut From Sound was born in New York City while I was attending FIT and grew over 20 years in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Today we create in studios in both New York City and Northern New York. We're all about making quality, handmade products from recycled materials. Everything is made by artists, for artists, creatives, music lovers, and anyone inspired by music and the arts. We've been working with reclaimed vinyl since 2004. It wasn't about sustainability because it was trendy, it just made sense. We hated seeing records thrown away and wondered how to use every part of them. Today, we recycle nearly 100% of each record into products people actually use and love. Every notebook, journal, sketchbook, bracelet, and piece of wall art is made from real vinyl records, not reproductions. We cut, shape, and assemble everything by hand in New York. Our products are simple, affordable, and made to be used. Whether you're writing, drawing, or giving one as a gift, we hope it inspires creativity, starts a conversation, and reminds people that old things still have plenty of life left in them.Read their story
