About Hygiene Hero

Michelle is a green beauty pioneer with over 28 years of experience in the cosmetic industry including helping some of the largest cosmetic firms open international markets, and owning a clean beauty retail store chain called Green & Gorgeous in Asia for over 10 years. In 2018, she relocated back to San Francisco, CA with her husband and 7 cats, and decided to create her own brand focusing on the hygiene category because she felt that's a toxic category that needed a disruption and a major facelift. Michelle was in the process of developing her brand when COVID broke out, and she wanted to find a way to be of service to her community. So she began sourcing cloth masks with specialty fabrics and donating them to shelters and senior homes in San Francisco. Local moms were following her journey and began placing orders. Customers LOVED her Super Mask, and began referring all of their friends until Michelle was forced to launch a website just to manage all of the requests. Her successful (and accidental) face mask business propelled her to officially launch her clean beauty brand. Now Hygiene Hero offers its iconic face masks alongside an all natural “Super Mist” sanitizing spray, and Private bar, a 100% natural two-bar system specially designed for women's most delicate area, with many more to come.
