About MDALEN

Mdalen was born out of the need to be able to offer artisanal products to celiacs and people intolerant to gluten, lactose and cow's milk protein. Behind Mdalen is Elaborats Milà, a company founded in 1992, by Alfred Milà, who came from a family of pastry chefs. It was the fourth generation established in Sant Just Desvern. The Milà family's beginnings in the production of sweet pastries dates back to 1900 from the small neighborhood of Barceloneta to Barcelona. The meticulous selection of raw materials stands out in order to offer the best quality in our elaborations. For this reason, both the raw materials and the finished product are analyzed, so we can always guarantee the best quality in the production of our muffins. This is how grandfather Joan, a perfector of the traditional recipe, did it and that is what his grandchildren do today. The vocation of the family has come to this day, where this new line of products is presented.Read their story
