About YOKU

Yoku was founded in April 2019 by Céline. Anxious to have quality products that respect the environment and health, she decided to make a big sorting out of her cosmetics, her cleaning products and... her candles! Candles sold cheap on the market are in fact made up of paraffin and toxic fragrances... Keeping it at home is out of the question, while she is expecting her 3rd child! The idea of making candles that are both pretty and non-toxic then caught on and Céline then launched Yoku, a bit on a whim. But where does the word Yoku come from? It's from “Shinrin Yoku.” A Japanese term that means “forest bath.” In love with nature, this name was perfect for this brand of vegetable candles.Read their story
