About Nattosoup Studio

Nattosoup Studio is a woman-owned micro art studio in Southeast Louisiana, creating whimsical watercolor comics and enchanting illustrated products that celebrate small wonders and Louisiana culture. Founded by Becca Hillburn, an award-winning comic artist with an MFA from SCAD, our flagship product is the acclaimed 7" Kara graphic novel series, a middle-grade watercolor comic following a tiny Lilliputian girl's adventures in a human-sized world. Kirkus Reviews praised our "vibrant visuals with lovely use of watercolor," and our books have been featured at the Louisiana Book Festival and won Best Table at Alternative Press Expo. Our mission goes beyond beautiful products. As someone with ADHD who grew up with limited access to art education, Becca is passionate about making art accessible. For over a decade, she's shared free tutorials through her blog and YouTube channel, and periodically grants the NATTO scholarship to help aspiring comic artists afford art supplies for their education. She wishes to inspire others to see the beauty in Louisiana’s culture and wildlife through her art and illustration.
