We are husband and wife beekeepers! We started keeping bees as an addition to our urban farm in 2012 and quickly fell in love with everything about the process. After a few years we used our stored beeswax and raw honey to make lip balm. It quickly took off and Messner Bee Farm is now a full time business with a production area and apiary. We currently have a mobile store on our Trolley named Beeatrix! We feel privileged to be a part of the making process start to finish beginning with the bees building beeswax and gathering nectar in the spring. Beekeeping is endlessly interesting and challenging – a real labor of love. We harvest the wax and honey in late summer and use the supplies to make our lip balms. We produce all of our balms in small batches and hand pour them to insure the best quality and craftsmanship. We take pride in providing something that is natural, useful and supports our favorite pollinators!
