About Sift

Sift began in 2008 as a small dessert shop in wine country, Northern California, created by founder Andrea Ballus with one simple idea: celebrations deserved better dessert. What started as one bakery grew into a nationally recognized brand known for playful flavors, beautiful presentation and desserts made for birthdays, weddings, gifting and everyday celebrations. Along the way, Sift expanded to multiple locations, shipped desserts nationwide and became a winner of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. Today, Sift is entering a new chapter. Our most-loved flavors have been reimagined as premium bake-at-home cake and frosting mixes, designed to bring the Sift experience to kitchens, gift shops and specialty retailers everywhere. The collection begins with cocktail-inspired favorites like Pink Champagne and Espresso Martini, each created to feel celebratory, distinctive and easy to make at home.
