Pasifika Bakes was born from a journey of culture, community, and a love of Pacific flavours. Growing up in Australia, I knew I was Indo-Fijian but wasn’t fully connected to my roots. What surrounded me instead was the Pasifika community. Shared food, hāngī after rugby tournaments, island music, and families who made everyone feel welcome. That warmth and generosity left a lasting impression. As I got older, I wanted to understand my heritage more deeply. I began exploring Pasifika culture and cuisine, especially Fijian food, which led me into the kitchen experimenting with classic island baked goods and desserts. The honest truth? I’m a lazy baker. I love great food, but not measuring or precision. I wanted something simple, generous, and full of flavour and I couldn’t find Pasifika baking mixes that made it easy. So Pasifika Bakes was created. A brand for people who want Pacific flavours without the fuss. A way to honour heritage in an approachable, modern format. A way to bring island warmth into any home.
