quip started when Simon went in for a routine check-up with a dentist in Queens where he learned he was among the majority of people that have been brushing their teeth incorrectly. He listened to his dentist’s frustration at big brands focus on superfluous features that increased price points, while glossing over the critical need for affordable and easy-to-use products and services that actually help people take care of their teeth. The crux of the problem: Most people don't really like their daily oral care routine. Using their industrial design backgrounds, Simon and co-founder Bill May worked with dentists to create a full service oral health company that seamlessly makes every aspect of the oral care routine more simple, affordable and enjoyable.
