Alexandra Paliwoda is an artist blacksmith based in Lewistown, Montana, USA. Her company, Backcountry Blacksmith Inc., hosts a variety of functional and decorative art that is hand forged using traditional and modern blacksmith techniques. All of the products offered are made by either herself or her partner in life, Matthew. Alexandra finds inspiration largely in nature, and living in the mountains of Montana fuel her creativity daily. The blacksmith shop, situated on their 110 acres, looks out over a mountain meadow valley that is home to deer, wild turkey, bear, cougar, moose and cattle in the summer months. Quality of life and quality of goods are paramount to both Alexandra and Matthew. They hope through their products to share beauty and a timeless sense of fashion, creating lasting products that are made from recycled steel and have a minimal carbon footprint. Read their story
