About Bingo Bango Soda Co

Founded in Winston-Salem NC, Bingo-Bango Fresh Fruit Soda Co. was created from a phrase often used by my grandfather Emile Worthy Sr. Growing up in the 7th ward of New Orleans, the birth place of Jazz, he would share stories about his adventures in New Orleans. That phrase "Bingo-Bango!" symbolized the flavor, creation, or sound of something amazing. Visiting my family every year in North Carolina, he would sit at my moms kitchen table to share stories and teachings about our culture and life's lessons. At the end of each story he would cap it off with a loud "Bingo-Bango!" Heavily influenced by my New-Orleans African Creole lineage, and with the beautiful inspiration of my families love for music, the arts, and craftsmanship, I began work on my first batch of craft soda in 2016 using the exact juicer given to my mother by my grandfather before his passing. After gaining years of soda, energy, beer, wine, and isotonic experience, I took the leap of starting Bingo-Bango in 2017. Armed with just a keg full of sugar water, lemons, and ice, I sold a grand total of 1 soda at our first event! After an extensive re vamp, we sold out completely at our next festival in early 2018! Bingo-Bango has grown one store, one festival, and one person at a time. Now we are available in over 60 retailers that include Total Wine and some of the largest breweries and universities in the state of North Carolina.Read their story
