About Waveland

Aloha! My name is Dashiell Alamahina Patton Dericks, and my story begins in Honolulu, Hawaii, where I was born. Growing up, I was lucky enough to experience so much of what our beautiful islands had to offer, and is an endless well of inspiration for me. My middle name, "Alamahina," means rising moon and was given to me by my Hawaiian uncle. If there was anything that living on the islands taught me, it was the importance of living in harmony with both the people around us, and our great provider, Mother Nature. In Hawaii, this is called Lōkahi. I created the Waveland company out of my desire to spread harmony and health in personal care. Hopefully by using our products, made naturally, sustainably, and with much Aloha, customers will feel this way too. After getting a degree in Chemistry, I originally formulated this soap recipe and make it myself in Waveland, IN. I split my time between Honolulu and Waveland throughout much of the year. So far we have received nothing but great feedback from our wonderful supporters!
