About Glass Source Studios

Michael Skrtic is a Connecticut based artist who uses several different forms of media, most notably, glass. For over 26 years, Michael has found passion in his work and has grown to become a well-known artist in his community. Traditionally trained in fine art, he has found that glass allows him to add a dimension and depth that painting cannot achieve. The play of light through his pieces is ever changing and allows the viewer to see something new every time. He maintains public and private studio spaces allowing him to have a space to work on multiple projects at one time. Within his public studio he teaches glass design. His commission work from his studios allows him to continuously push forward and evolve his work. “Creating in my studio every day allows me to continuously evolve as an artist, always experimenting and adapting to the material and the world around me.” The studio has been growing and thriving for 56 years, we plan to continue that journey with sharing products that our community loves with you.
