About Tiny Dog Press

Tiny Dog Press is a Baltimore City letterpress and silk screen design & print company. Kari Miller, the owner, designer and printer of Tiny Dog Press is a native Texan who fell in love with the history, grit and beauty found in Baltimore City. Kari creates her work first through hand drawn illustrations that are then transferred to a photopolymer letterpress printing plates. Once the printing plates are made, she hand-mixes the ink and prints the images one color at a time. Tiny Dog Press cards are printed on a 1949 Chandler & Price platen press which is hand-operated printing one sheet of cotton paper at a time. Each card is trimmed, scored and folded on antique equipment. All cards are printed on archival cotton paper using archival inks packaged with envelopes that are made from post-consumer waste recycled paper. Tiny Dog Presses’ work ranges from local architecture placed against geometric patterns with historic facts on the back of each card to nontraditional flowers placed again geometric patterns.
