About Vegan Skin

When I was 23 years old I was diagnosed with a skin disease that does not have a cure called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. By 30 I had endured anywhere from 15 to 25 surgeries on my skin, and half my body was covered in boils. I contemplated ending my life as a result of my relentless suffering, but decided in my darkest hour instead that if no products existed for my unique skin needs, I would create them. I formulated three, signature, plant-based products; a face and body butter, a face and body scrub, and a scalp and body oil. As they began changing the quality of my skin, others began purchasing the products from me in Tupperware containers I would “borrow” from my mother’s kitchen cabinet. While working as a high school history teacher, I created a business plan on my prep period and finally launched my e-commerce business in 2017.
