About Daughter Handwovens
Daughter Handwovens is a woman-owned company featuring traditionally woven textiles and Weaving Kits. Alex strives to put care and attention in each of her woven pieces, honoring this ancient craft, while bringing designs to a modern standard. She aims to help you embrace the idea of beautiful heirloom goods and fill your shop with thoughtfully made textiles. Based in Savannah, GA Alex weaves with all plant fibers, including cotton, linen, and occasionally bamboo and hemp. Working in small batches helps to keep our eco footprint small and our products one of a kind. Plant fibers also have a much lower rate of allergic reactions, making them safer for customers with aversions to animal fibers. Many of our woven goods are made to order. We also love sharing the craft of weaving which is why we love making beginner friendly kits which are very popular for grab and go options.

Alex worked with us to get us what we wanted even though it wasn’t shown on her page as available and she got it to us before we even expected! Wonderful brooms, so well made and unique. Packaged delicately but protected AND in a recycled box. We also ordered the Held Collection Trivets and they are so cool. Also made very well. Thank you so much Alex! We will definitely order again!
