About Bay and Laurel

Bay and Laurel started in late 2020 behind the arched half-door of our home studio in Santa Cruz, which served as inspiration for the logo. Our brand is named for the street names in homage to this original space. It is a physical yet metaphorical portal, always exploring curiosity and creativity. What began as a botanical-based business has expanded into multimedia arts including jewelry and pottery. We strive to combine these elements - clays, metals, stones, flowers, and foliage - with playful themes and motifs. All product designs are drawn from nature, whether it be a specific animal, plant, or place. Our motto is to “cultivate intention”, and we hope those details are felt in each piece.
