About INK & SONS

INK & SONS was born out of a deep love of vintage printed ephemera. We are a husband and wife team with backgrounds in textiles and graphic design, we’ve been avid collectors of vintage packaging and graphics for years. We are big fans of old matchbox labels, in particular the naive illustrations and typography which was designed to work perfectly at such a small scale. The magic happens when you enlarge these tiny creations way beyond their original dimensions; the crudeness of the original printing, with bright often overlapping colours, set against the rough fibrous texture of the paper gives the enlarged prints huge warmth and impact. We'd had many of these prints in our home for some time and visitors were always drawn to them, so after repeated requests we decided to start producing them as prints for sale – and INK & SONS was born. We are committed to sustainable production methods and employ sustainable materials, and eco-conscious packaging in the creation of our captivating art prints.
