Aunt Aggie De's Pralines, a beloved Texas tradition, began in 1986 when Eleanor Harren, a wife, mother, caterer, and proud Sinton, Texas resident, decided to share something special with her catering customers on her 55th birthday: her Aunt Aggie (pronounced “Aga”) De’s mouthwatering treats using her secret praline recipe. The pralines quickly became a local favorite, and Eleanor turned her passion for candy into a business that’s now grown into a cherished institution. Today, we, the new owners, sister-in-laws Molly & Melanie Thomas are honored to continue Eleanor’s legacy. We produce our pralines with the same care and attention to detail that Eleanor did, using only the finest ingredients—American-grown pecans and Belgian dark chocolate for our chocolate confections—ensuring that every bite is as delicious as the first. Over 2 million pralines are sold each year, all handmade and naturally gluten free. We operate out of two buildings in Sinton: our original factory where we make the treats in small batches, and our main storefront at 311 W. Sinton, where you can visit us, sample our pralines, and meet our iconic squirrel mascot, Agnes.
