Ariel Tidhar is a modern Judaica brand creating colorful, playful pieces inspired by Jewish culture, nostalgia, and everyday joy. Founded in 2o18 by designer Ariel Tidhar, the brand began as a creative outlet while Ariel was working in the fashion industry and looking to create the kinds of accessories and objects she—and her community—actually wanted to adorn themselves and their homes with. What started as a small passion project quickly grew into a vibrant community centered around contemporary Jewish expression. Born and raised in Chicago in an American-Israeli family, Ariel grew up surrounded by creativity, culture, and craftsmanship. She went on to earn her BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where she developed a love for textiles, embellishment, color, and handcraft. Today, those influences remain at the heart of her work. Drawing inspiration from her Israeli-American upbringing, Jewish traditions, and a touch of Jewish humor, Ariel creates collections that blur the line between art, fashion, and ritual. From jewelry and accessories to home décor and Judaica, each piece is designed to celebrate Jewish identity with color, personality, and meaning. Today, the majority of the collection is handmade in small batches in the Ariel Tidhar studio in New York. As a woman-owned and self-funded business, Ariel Tidhar continues to grow through a loyal community that values creativity, connection, and Jewish joy.
