About Bonz Beach Farms

Bonz Beach Farms started with a simple belief: if you take care of the land, it will take care of you. In 2011, a worn-out piece of farmland in Northern Michigan was given a second chance. What once served as winter housing for Mackinac Island horses had been neglected for years—but beneath it stood something worth restoring: thousands of sugar maple trees. Instead of clearing it, the decision was made to rebuild it. By 2013, the first taps went in. That season produced just 30 gallons of syrup. It wasn’t much—but it proved something: this land could produce again. Over the next decade, Bonz Beach Farms grew steadily. New trees were planted. Systems were built. Seasons got bigger. In 2017, the farm crossed 1,000 gallons for the first time. In 2021, thousands of new maples were added to ensure the future would be even stronger than the past. Today, the farm runs thousands of taps across miles of tubing, producing pure maple syrup, sugar, and candy using traditional methods—no additives, no shortcuts. Every product comes from the same source: real trees, real sap, real work. But the mission hasn’t changed.
