About Blueberry & Me

Margarita wanted to use cloth diapers on her first child, but her husband, Casey, was dead set against it. At the time they just opened a new Fast Casual Bakery Cafe, and they were both running it. Margarita was running the register with a big ole belly while Casey was managing the operations. When their firstborn finally came, they used Fuzzi Bunz. LOL, Casey lost the battle on that one. She did not really like the fit or the boring colors so she started looking at what else was available and to her surprise, they were not that many options in 2004. She purchased some patterns and materials from a website called Very Baby (More on that later) and started playing with her own designs. She made some diapers for personal use. Casey always joked with everybody that they were not aesthetically pleasing to look at but worked great. So as a test, she put a few up on eBay to sell. To her surprise, a no-name, no-brand diaper sold for over $20. That really got them thinking about the potential to make a business out of it.
