We love food, we love trying new things, and we love our hometown of Rochester, NY, so this trinity of passions came together to form Flower City Flavor Company. Owner Chris Whitehair’s inspiration came from his mother’s side of the family. They owned Italian restaurants in the Rochester area for many years and Chris decided to Minor in Hospitality Management at Syracuse University to keep in theme with those who came before him. While not inheriting the expert level cooking skills of his Grandparents and Great Uncles, Chris still wanted to be in the space and retailing quality products he could be proud to put his name on is what led to the creation of the company. Flower City Flavor Company’s olive oils and Balsamic vinegars are the highest quality around. The flavored options are all made with real ingredients, not artificial or “natural” flavored oils and vinegars you see so often. By using real fruits and real herbs, there is no comparison, these are the best oils and vinegars you can find on the market. Flower City Flavor Company expanded onto a malt vinegar that is aged in bourbon barrels from a local distillery - Iron Smoke Distillery in Fairport, NY.
