About Betta Bakes

Betta Bakes was born from over two decades of gluten free baking exploration resulting in delicious, nutritious and thoughtful crisps that address dietary concerns without sacrificing any of the flavor. Betta Bakes small batch, artisanal crisps are also nut and soy free and vegan. Five amazing flavors include: Currant Fennel, Classic Sea Salt, Pumpkin Seed Cumin, Summer Garden Herb (our newest) and Everything Bagel Spice. I started selling my crackers in May 2017 but my daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease twenty three years ago. There were limited options on store shelves back then and what you could find was horrible - flavorless, loaded with starches and sugar. Rather than settle for less, I stepped out of the store and into the kitchen to develop my own recipes. Why crisps? The gluten-free marketplace has exploded with sweet products. I wanted to offer a savory alternative. Because of their distinctive oval shape, Betta Bakes' crisps can even be used as a flatbread. Think avocado toast on a Pumpkin Seed Cumin crisp! Betta Bakes uses the highest quality ingredients including: heirloom variety pumpkin seeds grown in western NY State, flax meal from a sixth generation farm in ND, teff flour grown in Idaho, extra virgin olive oil, single origin spices, spice blends from a local RI company, and Newport Sea Salt and Maldon flaked salt as our topping salt.
