As a pediatrician and marathon runner who also has a sweet tooth, Sherif Badawy (the founder) thinks indulgence should still be good for you. After moving from Egypt to the US, he found store-bought baklava overly sweet and lacking quality, so he set out to reinvent his favorite confection with a healthy twist. Inspired by baking masters in Jordan, his version is packed with premium nuts, minimal sugar, a balanced sweetness, and a crisp texture that’s never soggy.
