About Isabelle Hughes Art

Hello! My name is Isabelle, and I’m an artist from Gatineau, QC (Canada). I started painting in 2019 while recovering from a mild traumatic brain injury. Painting helped me through a difficult time; it brought peace and comfort into my life. Creating is a source of nourishment for my soul! My inspiration comes from observing nature; I love painting seascapes, whimsical landscapes, and florals. Through my art, I hope to help viewers heal by offering them moments of calm and joy. My creative practice quickly evolved into a small business with the construction and launch of my website. I now offer my work online, in local boutiques, and in person at art & craft markets.
