About Barvò 1884

The story of the name BARVÓ starts from afar: we are in Martinsicuro, at the end of the 1800s, a small Abruzzese village overlooking the Adriatic coast where there has always been the custom of giving each family a dialectal nickname (the so-called "casate"). Our great-grandfather, Enrico Fedeli, born on August 15, 1884, was the first of the Fedeli dynasty of Martinsicuro to acquire this nickname, which, in our dialect, was meant to describe a man with a long and thick beard. Costantina Lucchetti, Enrico's wife, gave birth to 7 children, 2 daughters and 5 sons. The latter, once they became men, all took up the work of a sailor, a profession that was then passed down to most of their children, up to the present day. Proud of this history and my maritime roots (represented by the sailing ship), I, the first barber of the Fedeli family, decided to forge the BARVO’ brand for high-quality products dedicated exclusively to the care of the beard of strong and determined men, like my great-grandfather, Enrico Barvo’.
