About Trail Truffles

Almost 10 years ago Casey Zaugg was nearing the end of an endurance mountain bike race, and the only fueling option left was a cumbersome overly sweetened energy bar. It was in that moment he had the inevitable cliché thought “there’s got to be a better way," and Trail Truffles was born. Fast forward to 2017 with Chelsey Bell on board the duo set out to introduce a best of all worlds better-for-you snack. What makes us so special? Most importantly- we are a non-melting energy bite! Our shell delivers a dark chocolate experience with our blend of raw cacao and superfood dates. Our shell then pairs perfectly with our creamy nutrient rich nut butter filling. And much like a traditional truffle we finish it off with a light cacao dusting to ensure they don’t stick. Our functional snack is certified gluten free and non-GMO, as well as soy and refined sugar free.
