About NOOD Skin

I primarily created NOODSkin for my daughter Millie. She suffers from severe chronic eczema passed down genetically and guiltily by myself. For all the steroids, hydrocortisone creams or oil and water based emollients out there on prescription or on the shelf, nothing worked. Steroid cream would clear it up while using it but came straight back as soon as you stop and it isn't a long term solution. I slowed down, took a breath and thought for a while. I studied holistic therapies, including advanced aromatherapy at Cambridge, so why am I not doing more to help Millie and her eczema? It was then I decided to make a soap that would be different, have only ingredients necessary to the skin and the skins health and if possible, have an impact on our overall health After heaps of recipe experiments, mess, time, fun, fear and guinea-pigging, we have our soaps. Both mine and Millie’s eczema is under control. We can proudly wear our hair up without the embarrassment of people seeing our eczema behind our ears or on our scalp. We had lots of people volunteer with skin conditions to try our soap. We discovered that there is no one particular soap for all types of eczema, you still have to find the right one. But there are properties which can irritate and we have made sure we stay away from these naughty ingredients and created a line of Castile, Bastile and Active soaps so you can find the right one for your skin and health.Read their story
