Each piece is made in Nepal by women who knit from their homes, allowing them to support their families while preserving a traditional art form. Our products take many hours to make, with every stitch done by hand — a slow, meticulous process that ensures exceptional quality and individuality in every item. The brand began in New York City in the 1990s, born from the partnership of Nir and Anna, whose names combine to form Nirvanna—with the letter V symbolizing “and.” During their travels through Asia, they discovered Nepal: one of the world’s poorest countries, yet rich in spirit and tradition. Inspired by its people and craftsmanship, they started what was first a small collection of winter accessories, which has since grown into a much larger mission. Today, Nirvanna Designs proudly blends New York creativity with Nepalese artistry, offering knitwear that is meaningful, long-lasting, and truly one of a kind.Read their story
