Back in 2007 Alex's beloved horse Hennessey needed surgery. For years her hobby of jewelry making had been mostly on the back burner. But now to help Hennessey she needed to focus on it! She decided it was time to turn that profitable hobby into a full fledged business. By combining her two greatest passions—creating one-of-a-kind jewelry and working with horses—Alex was able to help her horse. Hennessey and Alex went onto have many adventures during their ten years together. Hennessey and the many other horses in her life are her greatest inspiration. As creative head of The Beaded Pony, Alex is known for her use of color, unique designs and creative names for her pieces. She often uses her knowledge of bead stringing, pearl knotting and wire-work in conjuncture with skills learned while getting her AAS in Jewelry Design with a concentration in Studio from the Fashion Institute of Technology. The Beaded Pony specializes in multi-strand necklaces and equine themed jewelry. Alex takes great pride in bringing you high quality unique jewelry at affordable prices.
