We turned a lemon piece of land into lemonade, literally. The smallest parcel of land for sale in Detroit sat on the market for months without interest. Despite its position directly upon the most popular urban pedestrian path, a 500 square foot lot covered in weeds and up a five-foot wall was less than desirable to most. But we're not like most people. We built our version of the perfect lemonade stand, a wooden structure that paid homage to the classic concept with some creative updates, including a bucket and pulley system to overcome the height challenge. With an overwhelmingly positive response, what was intended as a summer pop-up quickly grew to be much, much more.Read their story
