About JD and Kate Industries
We are a husband-and-wife candle-making and humor-writing team. When you buy our candles, know that you are helping us to support our family and achieve our goal of becoming powerful candle tycoons. All of our candles are hand-poured in small batches. J.D. pours the candles, Kate designs the labels, and we both write the label copy. Our candles have been featured by media outlets including CBS News, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, CBC News, PopSugar, BuzzFeed, and Yahoo! Finance. (That last one was a little random.) In our former lives, Kate was a comics editor for a major newspaper, and J.D. worked in politics and then PR. We are married (to each other), and live in St. Louis, MO, with our two children.
