Hi! I'm Shannon Mitchell, the creator and designer of TasselRue and my studio is located in Fredericksburg, VA. I was tired of seeing so much costume jewelry with fake gemstones and set out to create something lasting, luxurious, and without the sticker shock. (Did you know most fashion jewelry is made of brass with a thin plating? That thin plating wears off and fashion jewelry ends up contributing to landfill waste in less than one year.) After many many months of searching, I found different unique teams of artisans ( who also work with multi billion dollar USA luxury jewelry brands) to cut and set my hand picked gemstones and bring my drawings to life. Each gem set in my jewelry designs is carefully selected based on several factors including cut, quality, and color. All pieces are set in either sterling silver or 18k vermeil gold and all parts are sterling silver right down to the logo tag. I used my color theory knowledge to create color pieces which look beautiful stacked or worn individually. Many of my designs are considered classic yet versatile and people as young as 12 and as experienced as 85 enjoy my pieces. I sincerely hope you love my artistry and designs. Read their story
