Founded and passionately led by Guadalupe, (Lupita) a proud queer Mexican immigrant, our brand is built on the pillars of reconnection, appreciation, and ethical spiritual practices. We stand against the commercialization of sacred herbs like White Sage and the controversial Palo Santo, recognizing the importance of protecting these plants from illegal poaching and unethical harvesting practices, which currently lack state regulations. Instead, Yolia Botanica offers contemporary tools inspired by the rich traditions of Mexican folk healing, including Curanderismo and Brujeria, fostering a true connection to our roots. Guadalupe's journey is a testament to resilience; after living undocumented for nearly 17 years, she achieved her legal status in 2019 and dared to dream beyond her circumstances. In 2023, she opened a quaint retail studio that has since blossomed into a larger space, thanks to the love and support from customers across the nation who resonate with her story and mission.
