Like many immigrants, Uju’s journey to the U.S. was one of survival. She arrived with her two-month-old son, fleeing danger and navigating the aftermath of a painful divorce, with no support, no resources, and no clear path forward. At her lowest, battling postpartum depression, Uju had nothing—except a dream. One foggy morning in 2011, she had a vivid dream about shoes with removable soles—a vision so clear it became her path forward to designing minimalist, healthy footwear for children. That dream became Ozznek Shoes —not just a business, but a symbol of resilience, reinvention, and the power to rise. What began as a small shoe line has grown into a premium lifestyle brand offering shoes, toys, accessories, and clothing—each thoughtfully designed with the same commitment to quality, comfort, and innovation. While we still offer shoes with removable soles, Ozznek has expanded into an even wider range of shoes without removable soles, as well as clothing, accessories, and toys—continuing our mission to support confident, joyful childhoods. Every product reflects Uju’s journey: intentional, bold, and created with purpose.
