All I wanted to be when I grew up was an artist and a hair comber. I sadly, too quickly realized that a hair comber was not a job, and while I loved art, I was severely lacking in any artistic talent... could barely draw stick people. My children would ask me to draw them a horse or a dinosaur, and I'd give it my best effort; but they very quickly learned to ask their dad. In the beginning of 2024, I had come to terms with my capabilities so I was doing a paint by number. My 8yr old asked me if my painting would ever be in a museum. I sighed with a frown and told him no. Fast forward a few days and we were at the art store buying some watercolor supplies. Thus began my adventure in discovering that perhaps I actually did have just a smidge of artistic talent after all. So now I am a stay at home mom of 3 young boys, trying to capture a snippet of the beauty and wonder in the world and share it with those around me.Read their story
